Pat Fischer has faith in the people of Cincinnati.

Crime can and must be reduced. Faith, not fear, should guide Cincinnati.

For far too long, Cincinnatians have been told that crime is on the rise and that there is nothing that can be done about it. Pat Fischer rejects the defeatist attitude promoted by those who have given up on Cincinnati and its people. He believes that Cincinnati is a great city full of good hardworking people that can do anything they set their minds to do. Cincinnati needs that kind of faith on City Council.

As the President of Pleasant Ridge Community Council:

  1. Pat Fischer implemented strategic policing that used modern techniques to predict where crime would occur and place the necessary resources there to eliminate the crime.
  1. Pat Fischer forced absentee landlords to come to the table and be responsible commercial citizens by threatening nuisance lawsuits.
  1. Pat Fischer reduced crime in his neighborhood lowering the number of police runs by up to 70% some months.

Pat Fischer had faith in himself and in his neighbors. Emboldened by his faith, Fischer sought new and creative ways to tackle crime in his neighborhood. In doing so, Fischer led the people of Pleasant Ridge to do something different. The result was lower crime. That's proof positive that Fischer's faith in people, his leadership, and his innovative thinking are exactly what we need on Cincinnati City Council.
